Given the increased problems and costs associated with
pesticides, no modern greenhouse should be without the proper insect barrier.
Insect Proof Mesh Screens, correctly installed, prevent insect penetration, yet
provide maximum possible air flow, essential for optimal crop yields.

Regardless of the cooling and ventilating system that
you use, you need to consider insect screen. Screening intake vents will
produce dramatic results, but all greenhouse openings, including service doors
(which should incorporate double screened doors), should be screened for best
results 


In order to proof the
insects into the greenhouse, we usually install insect proof net in the air
vents. It can keep insects out of the planting areas, and protect the plant
without using pesticides or using less pesticides. It's a way of environmental
protection and is conducive to the sustainable development of agriculture.

 There are three types
of insect proof net in order to meet the requirements of different plants. One
is silver-gray or aluminum foil one, its expelling aphids effect is good and
can reduce the temperature in greenhouse; the second is the white one, its
light transmittance is much better than the silver-gray one and more widely
used, it's suitable for photophilous plant, but in summer, it will raise the
temperature in the greenhouse; the third is the black one, it can have sunshade
and cooling effect.


 Install the insect proof
net in the air vents of greenhouse will obviously add the ventilation
resistance. To install it in the period of pests and keep monitoring the
temperature in the greenhouse is necessary. When the period of pests past, it's
better to dismantle it.


 If the period of pests is
the same period of greenhouse need ventilation and cooling, It's better to pay
more attention to the following points:


1. Increase the insect
proof nets area or vent area to ensure adequate ventilation. Using nets and
rolled polyethylene film instead of hard polyethylene wall is the good natural
ventilation method to increase ventilation rate;


2. For the greenhouse
which has ventilation, it can install the proof nets only in the air vents;


 3. Keep clean the
surface of the proof nets.
