The blank or foil used is less than 1 mm thick and is flexible so that it can be removed easily from the patients mouth. Function of a bleaching tray or splint: 1,Provides well to hold the bleaching gel onto the labial surfaces of the teeth, 2, Must be firm, flexible and a comfort fit for the patient to wear. 3, Must not impinge on the oral tissues. Otherwise the tray itself may dislodge or the bleaching gel may irritate the issue.</span>
