The open joint-stock company “Sibneft” (Siberian Oil Company) is a Russian vertically-integrated company established on October 6, 1995. Its authorized capital totals 7,226,234,000 roubles. All of its stock are common shares with a face value of 1.6 roubles. There are 53 explored deposits in the Noyabrsk oil and gas producing region which has a total area of 70,000 square kilometres. The eighteen deposits that are now being worked have extractable reserves of about 1,200 million tons of oil. The Omsk oil-processing plant, the largest enterprise of the industry, is capable of 85 per cent heavy cracking of oil.
To improve its work further the company plans to increase its output of oil while optimizing the administrative structure and the number of employees, continue the modernization and technical retooling of the Omsk refinery, and step up the development of its wholesale and retail outlet network on the domestic market. SIBNEFT owns about 70 per cent of the petrol stations in Omsk, including a filling complex with six pumps capable of servicing 132 motor vehicles an hour. The complex meets the Western standards of service, environmental protection and safety. On the internal market the company supplies its products to the Central and Northern regions of Russia, the Maritime Territory, the Ministry of Defence, and the enterprises of the power complex and agriculture. SIBNEFT exports oil and petroleum products to Switzerland, China, Mongolia, Austria, Germany, Italy and Holland. Its regular partners include such major companies as ELF, Total, BP, Mobil, Nefto, Agip, ISAB and others. |
