The tool provides a highly versatile means to measure displacement in a
wide range of applications in any engineering workshop. The magnetic
attachment to the work piece will allow the unit to be used in place of
a spring loaded dial gauge in many applications without loss of
resolution but with the benefit of additional range. This tool has a unique ability to be quickly transferred to different machines; i.e. lathe, milling machine, drill press or even circular saw bench.
